Paul McCobb Jackson China Restaurant Ware Sugar Bowl - No Lid

For your consideration is a fabulous Jackson China sugar bowl (without lid) designed by Paul McCobb. It is in what looks like his fabulous Mid-Century Modern COMTEMPRI pattern. The pattern features leaves and acorns in a rust color. The signature reads: Jackson China, Falls Creek, PA designed by Paul McCobb (07); 572-74. It measures 3 ½ H (w/o lid), 4” W at top of opening and 3 3/8” W at bottom of base. It is in great vintage condition with no chips, cracks or flea bites.

Paul McCobb (1917-1969), was a famous designer of modern furniture. He also designed a line of china called 'Contempri.' Manufactured by Jackson Internationale in Japan in the late 1950s or early 1960s, this line came in many colors and patterns.
