Victorian Choker - Purple and Pale Blue Vintage Lace Brass Art Deco Choker, Victorian Jewelry, Upcycled Jewelry

Designed around a pretty vintage art deco brass wreath pin, the base ribbon for this choker is 1 1/2" wired pale blue taffeta, with an overlay of vintage purple fringed lace, and hand dyed pale blue lace trim - all hand sewn. I finished this choker with antique brass figure 8 chain swags, blue and purple czech glass beads, and hand dyed lavender satin ribbon rosebuds.
It has a lovely Victorian Art Deco look that would be a gorgeous addition to a prom or wedding ensemble, or would look great with an evening or cocktail dress.
This choker is finished long at about 13 inches, not counting the dangling beaded extension chain in back & ornate clasp. This makes it extra versatile and ready to wear for full figures, or it can be easily altered to fit much smaller neck sizes as well.
I recommend using dressmaker's tape to measure your neck circumference. Refer to my images for where to measure - this type of choker should rest comfortably around the base of your throat, so don't pull it too taut. Alterations can usually be done in about a day & your choker shipped by the following business day.

A word on my Victorian Choker collection - if you've ever worn a close-fitting lace trimmed choker, you'll know that they can often be itchy and uncomfortable. This is one of the main reasons why I use a 1.5" taffeta ribbon base on all of my chokers. Aside from the stability factor (the ribbon base adds stability to the design and keeps them from "scrunching"), it also makes them soft and comfortable against the sensitive skin of your throat. I've never been able to wear banded chokers myself - I just don't like the sensation of something rubbing against my throat - but I've wear-tested this design myself, for up to 8 hours, and found it very comfortable for extended periods of time - and no itch.
