This listing is for a beautiful single-sided antique map of Denmark taken from Chambers's Encyclopaedia of 1895, London and Edinburgh.
The map has one centre fold to allow it to be bound inside the volume. It is in excellent condition.
The paper is not brittle or delicate as one might expect from a paper over 100 years old.
The map is not watermarked or damaged in any way. It has aged with an even slight yellowing and is truly lovely.

Map illustrator was J. Bartholomew.

All maps needed to be scanned to be listed. The map size was too big for one bite in the scanner, so each map has been scanned twice and the image stitched together.
The line you see to the left of each picture does not exist on your original map, it is the joining of two scanned images. The discolouration is from the scan. Your map is even toned and colors are beautiful.
The centre line you see is the fold line which is real.
