The Willie Wagtail is a gorgeous little bird native to Australia and found throughout the continent. They are never still and constantly shake their long black tail feathers from side to side.

I am a full time printmaker and a little bit obsessed with the birds around me in my adopted country. This is a favourite of mine. I constantly sketch from life and use my drawings to create hand pulled prints. This is a dry point etching inked up in a soft, almost purply, black and printed onto highest quality Hahnemuhle cotton rag printmaking paper. It is one in an edition of 15. If you would like to see my work in person you can view it in a number of galleries around Melbourne or if you live near Daylesford, Victoria, you can arrange to visit my studio in the woods!
