🌿 Herbal Hair Powder Preparation & Instructions:

1. In a bowl add the herbal powder. In a separate container heat distilled water until steaming but not boiling and add, mixing until you have a mud the consistency of pancake batter. Add a few drops of Essential Oil if you wish. Please research your EOs carefully.

2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set someplace warm. Atop a warm electronic, such as a computer tower works well, or under a warm lamp. Mix occasionally, letting sit for at least 2-4 hours, and no more than 6.

3. When ready to use, wash hair but do not condition (or condition very lightly). Section towel-dried hair and work the herbal mud into the hair, making sure not to miss spots. Carefully pile hair atop the head and cover with a shower cap or plastic wrap. Leave on for 2-6 hours, the longer you leave it on the deeper the conditioning benefits and the more colored tones that will be imparted.

4. Rinse well with water. If you find rinsing difficult, try soaking your hair in the bathtub or a bucket first, or use a lots of a cheap silicone-free conditioner (like VO5) to aid rinsing

🌿 Detailed Ingredients
Cassia (Senna italica, Cassia Obvata)– Conditions hair in a manner similar to that of henna, providing body, aiding in detangling, scalp conditioning, and provides shine/sheen to hair. Also known as "neutral henna" since it provides the conditioning of henna without the red color, only imparting slight warm golden hues on some hair.

Senna (Senna alexandrea)– Similar to its other Senna italica cousin, the yellow color in Senna comes from Chrysophanic acid, which is also what gives it the conditioning benefits to both scalp and hair.

Chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita)– Chamomile has always had a long-standing reverence as a beneficial herb for both hair and skin. The flowers sooth itching on the scalp and the slight acidity they have smooths the hair cuticle, giving shine, conditioning, and, to some hair types, golden tones.

Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale)- Ginger is the most widely used and available herbal remedy on the planet, with billions of people using it every day as both food and medicine. A sweet-smelling herb, it helps to promote circulation and detoxification and thus may aid in hair growth. This herb also adds a pleasant scent to the herbal blend.

Herbal Blend:
Horsetail (Shavegrass, Equisetum arvense)– Horsetail, not to be confused with cat-tail, is possibly the most abundant source of silica in the plant kingdom, helping to keep hair strong. Many people believe that horsetail can help speed up hair growth. Some of the ways to take horsetail is to drink it in your tea, take it in capsule form or apply it directly to the scalp and hair.

Yellow Dock (Rumex crispus)– This herb has been used for centuries to heal inflammed, weeping, irritated skin conditions.

Burdock Root Powder (Arctium lappa)- Contains mucilage and starches that soothes irritated skin and membranes and is one of the most effective herbs for promoting hair growth and reducing the amount of hair shed.

Marshmallow Root Powder (Althaea officinalis) aka Gulkhairo– Soothes both the skin and scalp. Used alone or in conjunction with aloe vera liquid/gel, it provides excellent relief from skin and scalp irritation while leaving hair soft and shining.

Aloe Vera Root– Contains many of the products necessary and effective in fighting hair loss: Biotin, b-vitamins, zinc and inositil. It also contains anti-bacterial properties that keep the scalp healthy by controlling scalp infections that can prohibit hair growth.

Hibiscus Flower aka Jaswand (Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis)– An emollient (meaning it helps the cuticle of the hair lay down) and a demulcent (meaning it leaves a light soothing film behind) this herb has a cooling effect. It stimulates hair growth, increases hair thickness, reduces and prevents graying, balding, hair-loss, dandruff, split-ends, and many other hair conditions and many scalp disorders. It is also an excellent natural conditioner that may impart a warm reddish color to hair.

Stinging Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica)– Often called nature’s conditioner, Stinging Nettle is natural deep cleanser useful for oily skin and hair that promotes hair growth.

Tried cassia in the past and ended up with dingy dull green tinge in hair. This however was totally different. Strong dye release and powder was so fine. I was a bit chicken and only left it on for an hour but it's transformed my dry sun frazzled over processed light blonde hair into a beautiful shimmering glossy golden blonde!! It's stunning and I am so pleased. About to order more and will be brave next time and leave on for longer. Very happy customer!! If you are toying between this and all those cassias on Amazon and elsewhere...go for this. You won't regret it.

Color is absolutely gorgeous. Brightened up my highlights and gave a beautiful color no orange as I requested. Custom color was chosen for me. I’m a convert to henna. Will be continuing this after we reopen NYC. Amazing customer service, you can’t go wrong!

Melissa is extremely, extremely friendly and knowledgeable! She replied to all my messages. After one year of using chemical dyes, I was so pleased to use herbal dyes, the application of which is very relaxing and wholesome. The herbal dye recreated the effect of the chemical dye (from light brown to blonde with ginger tones), albeit less strongly. To reach this effect, I combined 50/50 Rusalki and Sarenrae. It is way better for my hair and and exciting process! I will definitely be doing business with Melissa again in the future! I am a very happy customer and recommend her shop to anyone! :)

Love these henna hair colors! I add a little of this one to the Rusalki to get the exact color I'm looking for. My hair is mostly gray, and seems to really pull toward the red tones, so for me adding a little Sarenrae helps to balance that out. I get a really beautiful strawberry blonde color! Love it!
