Fabulous Vernon Kilns hand-painted “Monterey” pattern sugar bowl and creamer. This bold design features dark pink leaves with blue stems that march around the bottom and up the handles of the pieces. Vernon Kilns produced the Monterey pattern from 1942 to 1950, so the set is 60+ years old. These are marked on the bottom.

The set includes:
Footed sugar bowl, 3” H, with handles and lid
Footed creamer with handle, 3” H

Both pieces are in wonderful shape. Some minor crazing, but no cracks, chips, or discoloration. Colors are vibrant and not faded. Excellent vintage condition!

Vernon Kilns was located in Vernon, California, and was in business from 1931 to 1958, when it was sold to Metlox. Metlox continued to use some of the Vernon shapes, so doing a search for Vernon often brings up Metlox as well. Highly collectible.

Thanks for looking!
