Framed Male Figurative Art 29.5" x 36" canvas

Forever fascinated by the old tales of the hustlers along Bull St. Before the internet and apps for convenient coupling, there used to be a steady stream of gentlemen for hire along Bull Street, from downtown to the park. I've painted them a few times and love representing the men as angesl or classical statuary. Partly because they were icons in their own right, and partly because they really were almost deified for performing a job that was desperately needed by the horny and confused of old Savannah. They were easily judged and targeted, but also highly sought after and appreciated.

The background is comprised of many grey, cream, and gold acrylic washes. The stencils were sprayed in black and red. The alligators were sprayed over sections of green washes and the male figure was sprayed over a section of creams and gold.

I framed the painting in an old frame that seemed perfectly suited to the task. It's elegant and old, with a beautifully distressed gold finish.

29.5" x 36" overall dimensions, hanging hardware attached.
