All eight corners of this cube are gears, and each of them drives three others so they all spin together. It's a fascinating little toy, both visually and mechanically. Everyone who comes by my desk picks it up because it looks neat... and once they discover that the gears actually spin they won't put it down. Warning: they sometimes grow legs...

This listing is for one cube, 36 mm on a side, slightly under 1.5 inches. Large gears are black, small gears and center piece are any other color I've got (select from list). One of the listing pictures is of my shelf o' filament. Color is fused in and will not chip or flake.

These parts are individually made on a modified RapMan 3D printer from high quality ABS plastic filament and have the characteristic lined surface common to all FDM processes (visible in the picture). I assemble them with my own internal hardware design which makes them turn very smoothly.

The parts and basic design are all by Emmett Lalish and can be downloaded from Thingiverse (open source!) here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6073.
