This is not a copy of the Jackie Kennedy pillbox hat, but my homage to Jackie Kennedy fashion and her missing pink pillbox hat.

Jackie Kennedy wore her rose pink suit on November 22, 1963. The President had asked her to wear it. The suit was a Chanel knock off, made in New York so that it would be Made-in-America and still satisfy her love for French clothing. It was trimmed in navy blue, worn with a blue blouse, blue pumps and handbag, and the trademark pillbox hat held with a hat pin.

She wore the hat at the hospital where is was removed by her, handed to someone, and never seen again. The bloodstained suit is perfectly preserved in a vault in Maryland, banned from public display for 100 years. Jackie Kennedy is not wearing her pink pillbox hat at Lyndon Johnson's swearing in, although she was urged to "clean up her appearance''. Mrs. Kennedy said "No, let them see what they have done".

Jackie Kennedy style. Details include rose pink fur felt with navy blue felt trim, fabric ribbon inside, silk lining and matching hat pin.
