This Antique Trade Bead Necklace is made from a great variety of antique beads, including some truly ancient Roman Beads that I purchased at a wonderful bead store in Venice, Italy. The shop was tiny, and had a grumpy owner, but wow! What a collection of ancient to antique beads! Museum worthy shop.

I also used some antique Venetian White Heart beads, some carnelians, an agate, a couple of Mediterranean Corals, a few small chevron beads, including a gnarly rare black chevron bead, an amethyst "tube", a couple of antique stone Pumtek Beads, a 19th century Venetian "Skunk" or "Medicine Eye Bead", as well as a rare yellow "Skunk" bead. There are also 5 great vaseline glass beads that are made with uranium and are florescent under a black light, several Czech "Gambling Dice Beads", all together with a nice mixture of vintage wound glass beads and separated with simple copper spacers.

Strung on beadalon, nylon wrapped wire, and finished with a simple sterling silver hook closure. It measures a bit over 24" in length including the clasp.
