This is a fine petite pair of cast iron bookends. Each bookend measures 3.5 inches tall (at the tallest point), 4 inches wide, and just over 1 1/4 inch deep. The iron was originally brass or bronze plated but now, 80 or 90 years later, the plating is nicely worn. No maker's mark. Fine detailing on the horse, the grass at its feet, and the fancy, empty saddle. No splits or rust or damage.

But where's the rider, hmm?
