WWII US Army compass Corps of Engineers Compass and leather case
Used for navigation by our boys in green during the time that the allies were attempting to stop the Axis. This Compass was made for and used by the US Army Corps Of Engineers. The metal case reads CORPS OF ENGINEERS U.S. ARMY MANUFACTURED BY SUPERIOR MAGNETO CORP. L.I.CITY N.Y. U.S.A.
The dial spins freely and fluidly and is in very good condition as are the glass covering for the dial, the scope lens and the leather case. The leather case has some ink writing inside that I cannot read. The case is stamped Burbank Pioneer Idaho. The compass is in full working order and finds North easily. International buyers please contact me for a shipping quote. You can find more vintage finds at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/nanascottagehouse
