AUTHENTIC STYLE SUFFRAGE SASH, GOLD BUTTON, AND HAND SIGN. Be a Suffragette. Be a Suffragist. March (and Party) with Pride Wearing VOTES FOR WOMEN Gold Sash and Gold Button while carrying a historically accurate Hand Sign just as women did in the 1900s.

Be a Suffragette, just like the women who marched, petitioned, and lectured on the need for women to have the right to vote. Many of these women wore sashes and often those sashes had the words VOTES FOR WOMEN across the front. Through research, we learned that many of the sashes included 18 stars to show the current number of amendments and that they were working toward the 19th Amendment that passed in 1920. All three of these items are authentic in their details.

• [SUFFRAGE SASH SIZE] Our sash is 4 by 72 inches. We researched hundreds of photos to approximate the right size.

• [SUFFRAGETTE SASH MATERIALS] Suffrage sash is made of gold satin.

• [SUFFRAGIST SASH DESIGN] Again using photographs, we determined that many of the sashes had the words VOTES FOR WOMEN plus 18 stars.

• [SUFFRAGE BUTTON WITH AUTHENTIC DETAILS] Historical research brought us to an often-worn suffrage button. This 1.25 inch button has a gold metallic background with the words VOTES FOR WOMEN in an authentic font of the early 1900s.

[SUFFRAGE HAND SIGN] Suffragettes carried signs when they marched in order to draw attention to their mission. We used an early 1900s font in designing our sign.
