First Image is a close up detail and condition. The small dark circles are not marks but are part of the artwork, planets I think.

THE HOPE THAT DOES NOT PERISH

HOPE
"One star, one string, and through the drift
Of aeons sad with human cries
She waits the hand of God to lift
The bandage from her eyes"

verse by Harold Begbie

Bookplate Art Print with verse published 1930 (the actual artwork was made earlier than that)
Great Britain

Total size of paper 6 1/4" x 9 1/2" - nice to frame

The other side has text about Hope. I have read it and is both beautiful and very grounded in early 1900's thought.

note! if two items are ordered the second is only $1 for shipping

s.h.i.p.p.i.n.g.
Will be shipped wrapped in acid free tissue paper or in a new archival sleeve, protected from moisure by a plastic slip/bag, packed with rigid cardboard in a flat pack so that it is well protected on it's journey to you. I do not roll prints as it risks harming the paper, particularly antique paper.
