Art Deco necklace with carved and pierced floral carnelian stones. Each stone is elegantly set in an open back, simple prong setting. When softly lit, the piece has a deep rust color, and when light catches it from the side, it glows in deep peach and flame colors. Adorned above both stones with round carnelian beads. The necklace begins in two strands, and connects to a single, sparkling flat chain. I believe the setting and chain are sterling with a gilt wash, and the closure, a simple old spring ring, is brass. In very good condition with an attractive wear and patina to the chain and setting, stress fractures within the stone from its carving, no cosmetic chips or cracks. Unsigned.
