This is a Fenton Colonial Blue Valencia candleholder, ware number 8374 CB, manufactured by Fenton between 1970 and 1972. As with all pieces of this era, it is unmarked. Valencia with a pretty pattern of thick ridges popular in the 70's, although Fenton made a few items in other colors in the 80's and 90's as well. They had some trouble with items getting ruined as they came out out of the molds, so the production didn't last longer. The thing about this pattern is how it catches the light and scatters it-- especially when the color is Colonial Blue. The symmetry of the geometric patterns when the candleholder is viewed from the top is striking, as you can see in the last picture. The candleholder itself measures about 5" tall. A very nice piece in good condition with no chips or cracks.

My inventory number is A65A.
