For the HORDE! is stamped on the front flap of this laptop bag. This World of Warcraft Horde Leather Laptop Satchel would be an unforgettable gift for any Sci Fi Geek who is into World of Warcraft. It would be a great messenger bag for carrying books, art supplies, or tablets too! It is made to fit a 17" laptop with room for the electric cord. This bag is padded with a foam
for protection and can also be used as a messenger bag for school books. It is made from vegetable tanned leather which is fairly non-pliant and very tough. I hand stitched it with nylon sinew that has at least 70 test strength. It's held securely closed by an alligator clasp . The hand stitching on this bag takes hours of patient application. The entire bag takes 30+ hours of work but I am confident it will last you years and years. And as with all the things in my shop, if it requires repair, I will do so free of charge. You just pay shipping.

The horde symbol is hand carved on the front of the bag and a troll with his raptor ( inspired by a drawing by Sinistervibe at http://sinistervibe.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=144#/d115xqv) is carved on the back. For an extra fee, I can do different artwork upon request.

**Since this item is "made to order", the item you will receive will be similar to this one but there will be some minor differences. I am happy to send a photo of your item before shipping, upon request.

*Embossing is done by taking a metal plate with an image on it and pressing it with a lot of force onto a piece of damp leather. The leather dries and holds the shape or image.
*Tooling or carving is actually cutting into the leather and sculpting it with a variety of tools (swivel knife, beveler, seeder, mule foot, pear shader, etc). It is a much more labor intensive process, requiring an artisan's eye and experience to produce a favorable result.
*You can tell the difference between embossing and carving by closely examining the indentation around the image. If you see pattern marks (waffle, crosshatch), or a darker, burnished appearance, then it's probably handmade. Essentially, look for little tells like scuffs or slight variations in the design. I like to think of the imperfections as character marks. :) A terrific site with picts of the various stages of leather carving is http://amtgard.natkd.com/basic_leather_carving.htm

Frequently asked questions about WorldofLeathercraft

Lightly coat with olive oil every 3-4 months. This keeps the leather from drying out and makes it last much longer.
Q: Can I get a different image on your stuff?
A: You sure can. Just attach the picture in a convo or email it to me at worldleathercraft@att.net

Q: How much does a different picture cost?
A: If it is something with quite a bit of detail it can cost up to $15 more per image. If it is a pretty simple image like a symbol, it is free of charge.

Q: Do you do monogramming and how much is it?
A: Yes I sure do. Cost is determined by the number of letters. If it is just initials, or a short message (10 letters) it's free. Longer messages will be an extra $5.

The soft lined wallet is made of pigskin which has a more cloth like feel. It can hold up to 12 cards and has 2 compartments for cash. It takes more time to make this type of lining than the veg tanned one so it costs a bit more.

The veg tan lined wallet's interior is cowhide which is stiffer. It holds 4 - 8 credit cards (8 will be a squeeze until the leather stretches) and does not have the extra divider in the cash pocket and costs less.
