1930s DANNY DUZIT Stainless Steel Sponge / Dish Cloth - Vintage / Antique Kitchen Accessory. Cleans Pots And Pans. This is a rare, unusually cute item. Danny Duzit was a pot cleaner used to clean and scour in homes, hospital kitchens, school cafeterias, restaurants, and bakeries. "Safe and sanitary; will not injure hands", made by the Springfield Wire and Tinsel Company. Inside flap indicates it is also for farms - cleans eggs and scours milk pails. Charming boy has a bright smile and mane of curly silver locks. His hair is made of the stainless steel sponge which shows through from a hair-shaped cut in the box. Was not sold in stores.

Silver sponge was never used and is in good condition. Box is in pretty good condition - has three rips (one at ear, one at back of hair, and one at top at flap). Plastic - which is the part of the box that covers Danny's hair - is still intact.

Measures approximately 4 x 4".
