Goldtone extremely smooth-to-the-touch metal, this Egyption symbol, Eye of Horus bookmark measures 1.5" square, and is marked © TBM.

HISTORY: Eye of Horus is a known Egyptian symbol called the Eye of Horus, and was used as a symbol of protection and health. Horus was the ancient Egyptian sky god who was usually depicted as a falcon. The eye symbol represents the marking around the eye of the falcon, including the "teardrop" marking sometimes found below the eye.

The six parts that compose the Eye of Horus shape, form six different mathematical fractions, with each fraction representing one of the six senses with which we experience reality. If the fractions are joined together, we find that we get close to 1, but never reach it. This is because there is an Egyptian belief that says only in the next world does the soul reach its perfection.
