This copy of the Prisoner of Zenda, Anthony Hope's novel, is a boxed hardcover book, vintage 1966 edition.

This classic work of English literature tells the story of the son of a rich and titled English family who dreams of adventure and finds it in the Kingdom of Ruritania.

This first edition Heritage Press publication is lavishly illustrated, with many renderings in full color by Donald Spencer.

In his Introduction, S C Roberts of The Loke House, Cambridge, England, suggests that the sub-title of the book should not be overlooked: "Being the history of three months in the life of an English gentleman."

This gently used book is in excellent condition. Even the boxed cover shows only minuscule signs of age. The only blemishes are slight brown places on the inside of the covers.
