The Clarus M-35 was produced by the Clarus Camera Manufacturing
Company from 1946 through 1952. It's a 35 mm film camera.

The leatherette is perfect. The lens mount and face plate are in great
condition. The lens is clear and clean. The silvery metal surfaces show the
very lightest of abrasions. The back metal surfaces show a "bubbling" of
the metal that appears to be a manufacturing flaw.
The latch for opening the back is a bit sticky. When opening or
closing the camera, you have to lift up on the latch a bit.

The lens is beautiful. The focus is a split viewfinder type. You look through
the right side window and turn the focusing ring until the two image
line up as one.
The image is split horizontally (rather than the common vertical type). The bottom part of the focusing viewfinder is dim and makes focusing a chore.

The aperture is working beautifully. The shutter speed dial (which you lift and turn to reseat at the desired speed) seems to only want to seat
at 50, 100 and B. However, even these speeds are inaccurate.
"B" doesn't stay open.
The shutter fires crisply, but darn it, it doesn't change speeds much, if at all.

The leather case is worn. Over half of the stitches are missing around the
edge of the top portion, but the strap is intact. On the interior, the felt
has come loose in the top.
The surface is worn, but has a great patina.

The Clarus company had a poor reputation, due to their many non-working
cameras. It's surprising when they do work and when they do, they're capable of great photographs.
It's a very attractive camera and due to the shutter setting issues,
is being sold as a collectible display piece.

Your camera will be carefully packed and shipped priority mail with
delivery confirmation in the US and first class mail international.
