A Dinner Plate in the Leigh Ware Ultra shape, Paris pattern: dynamic, gorgeous Art Deco, almost identical to Sienna Ware shape, Deco Tulip pattern by Crescent China! Asymmetrical creamy beige semi-porcelain plates (Umbertone) with fantastical tulip decals in retro Miami Beach colors: fuscia pink, periwinkle blue, & golden butterscotch amidst yellow and green leaves with black & lavender zigzags.

Please Note: This listing is for 1 plate; reserved for Kyle Hepp Wedding Gift Registry.

The Crescent China Company operated in Ohio from 1920-1926, then sold to Leigh Potters, who produced the line until 1931; therefore, you may find seemingly identical pieces stamped Crescent China “Sienna Ware” or Leigh Pottery “Paris” or “Umbertone”...the difference in the plates' design is in the edge outline trim; Paris is trimmed with platinum; Deco Tulip with reddish brown glaze, otherwise, pattern & shape is identical (see last photo for comparison of edge trim).

Plate is marked on bottom in black ink “Leigh Ware by Leigh Potters inc, USA” above "PARIS".

Measures about 9 3/8” by 9 3/8" across [23.8cm by 23.8cm].

In good-to-great vintage condition – general crazing (crackling of the clear overglaze) throughout; occasional surface wear.

We have other pieces of this pattern, as well as Sienna Ware "Deco Tulip," listed separately, and we will happily maintain a waiting list if we don't currently have the piece(s) you want.

:: Care & Handling ::
As with any china this fragile, and with metallic embellishment, this set should not be used in microwaves, and we strongly recommend hand washing. Where there is surface crazing, avoid staining by restricting contact with acidic or deeply colored liquids & foods (strong coffee, beets, etc).

PLEASE NOTE: Vintage and antique dishes were often decorated with glazes containing varying amounts of lead, a toxic chemical. If you have a concern, please research before purchasing. To minimize exposure to lead when using vintage dinnerware, please observe the following precautions: use infrequently; do not expose to high heat, including microwaves, ovens, and dishwashers; avoid contact with acidic foods & liquids, especially if piece is cracked or crazed (slight crackling of the clear overglaze); do not use to store food or liquids; hand wash with a gentle detergent soon after use and allow to air dry.
