This is a corselet that would have been worn over a woman’s bodice and skirt. It is brown in color and velvet which is completely intact. The lining is camel colored polished cotton that is in bad condition. There are six pieces of metal boning that is present sewn onto the lining. The corselets is laced up the center front with ½” silk satin ribbon, but I am not sure how it was laced due to lacing ability on the lining and there are slits in the fashion fabric as well. 1 ¼” black and brown Chantilly lace at top and bottom of the corselet but is in poor condition and coming off of the velvet. The waist measures 24”. The dimension of the width is: sides are 8 ½” long and the center front and back are 10” in length.
