Vintage Walk-A-Doll contraption is meant to...whaddya suppose? Walk your doll! You strap the feet in the elastic loops, buckle the belt around the waist (I think), perhaps put the rod that runs perpendicular to the back plate between dolly's legs for stability, take his or her hand and off you go! Pulling on the hand or pushing from the back turns the wheels, which in turn moves the thingmabobs the feet are attached to, and thus dolly walks.

The aforementioned rod swivels to the left and right which I presume is in case your doll is too large or too small for it to position between the legs. The faux leather belt moves up and down on the rods they're attached to, also for variances in doll size. It has a paper label that reads "Walk-A-Doll Reg. U.S. Pat. Office Mfg. by R.E. Sigman Co. Inc. Oak Park, Ill. Pat. Pending".

It measures 11-1/2" high x 8-1/4" wide x 6-3/4" deep when leg apparatus is extended; however, these flip up so when it's not in use the depth is just 2-3/4".

Condition is excellent--you can see some scratches and enamel loss, as well as a bit of staining on the paper label, but these are minor and what I'd consider normal for the age of this SO FUN toy.
