This wonderfully bright organic etching is by artist Helen Victoria Quat. The embossed orange etching dates to the early to mid-1960s. It is titled "Arabesque", numbered 6/100 and is signed by the artist. Etching is in it’s original (1.75”) extra deep silver wood frame with black stained sides and deep black mat. The etching also has original artist exhibition certificate and labels attached to the back.

Helen Victoria Quat, b., Mexico City (1913-2001). Quat was an accomplished artist and studied with artists Joseph Solman (painting), Rafael Soyer (drawing), and Ruth Leaf and Krishna reddy (print making/etching). She studied art at Cooper Union, Arts Student League, and Columbia University. She recieved two Masters in Art History and lectured regularly on art appreciation in New York. A long-time resident of Great Neck, New York, her art was shown in many New York City galleries in the 1960s-1980s.

Condition: Some scruffs and vintage wear to frame. Etching and mat are in excellent condition.
