This is a black cotton velveteen bodice that would have been worn for a ball or a formal occasion. I do not have any other photos since it did not photograph well. The bodice is darted with stays noted in the center front, darts, side seams, and center back. The bodice is compelely lined with camel polished linen and a back hook and eye back closure. The seams are hand sewn and edges unfinished. Piping is noted at the neckline and waist with black silk taffeta. No trim or tucker noted on the bodice. The sleeves are cap sleeves and not trimmed. The waist measures 22.5" and bust is 29". In very good condition.
