Recalling the Medicine Shows of Old, this is one of a lot of antique chemist, apothecary or vinagrette bottles given me by my friend the bottle collector who digs these up from under old houses.

All have been thoroughly cleaned in the following manner. They are first soaked in hot soapy bleach water for a time to loosen up any remaining contents or dirt. They are then scrubbed clean using a variety of brushes including metal. I then tumble them with old beads of shot to remove any residue. Many of the bottles are still cloudy with sediment from age, but they are all sterile and ready for your use in all of those lotions, potions or vinagrettes; store bought or home made. A muriatic acid bath will remove any unwanted cloudiness or haze, but I rather like it and as long as I know that the vessel is clean I am happy.

This is for a clear glass medicine or chemist bottle that has begun to turn pink from the magnesium content. It is 9 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter at the bottom and has a nice ground glass stopper. Interesting decanter maybe??

I will happily combine shipping on a collection of your choice, so be sure to check out the other bottles I will be listing this week. Thanks very much.
