A night out on the town with this glamorous little deco handbag on your arm and you'll be the focus of conversation all night!

The eye is definitely drawn to this dramatic, funky purse that looks beaded from afar... but as you look closer you'll notice that it is actually made from carefully coiled rows of black and white telephone cord. It features the same pattern on each side and has a handle braided from three strands of black cord.

It measures 7 1/4" tall, 9 1/4" across the top and 3 3/4" across the bottom. The handle is 13" long with a 6" drop to the bag's top. Opens with brass zipper loop, inside is black rayon fabric.

These bags were made in the 1940's and 50's and are rare to find these days, especially in very good condition, like this one. After a thorough search, the only issue I can find is that the inner cardboard liner is slightly lower on one side and can be felt through the lining when putting a hand inside while the purse is empty. This is not an issue when the purse is full. Lining is intact with no holes or rips.

A fabulous and funky addition to any handbag collection!
