Vintage Kentucky Derby Horse Prints

A pair of large prints of Kentucky Derby horses in chunky wood frames. Under glass. Good vintage condition with some slight yellowing to the prints. Prints are marked "Charles Carroll '68" and signed in pencil by the artist. Additional marks show a copyright of 1970. The brown horse is called "Forward Pass" and the black one "Dancer's Image." Both prints are marked "1968 Kentucky Derby."

If you are a fan of horse racing, you may know that the 1968 Kentucky Derby outcome was quite controversial and involves the two horses pictured in the prints. Read more about it here:

Wood frames are in good shape with some dings here and there. The picture wires are not of even length so you will want to add new picture wire before hanging if you want them to hang at the same height.

Overall measurements: 23.5" x 18.25" x 1"
