This listing is for one (1) full skein of linen thread made by the Ulster Spinning Company of Belfast, Ireland. The size is 90 Lea. and is designated as "M Line Warp". The measurement of the skein is a bit complicated. One lea will give 300 yards per pound. So a 90 lea skein would be:
90 X 300= 27,000 yards per lb. Twenty skeins weighs 2 3/4 ounces.
Each skein is labeled. We have this thread in a number of sizes, colors and warps, from very fine to thicker and from very light to dark tan. I believe this thread was used for weaving but it works beautifully for binding and embellishing. Perfect, when you would like a natural look. Over 100 years old and In lovely, strong condition for it's age!

My pictures show the skeins and closeups of the thread and the label.
