Turquoise Ring - Navajo 60s Sterling - Old Green Turquoise - sz 6

As natural (unstabilized) turquoise ages and is worn, it will change color and harden. Some lower grade stones will crackle and become dull with cleaners etc., and some higher grade stone take on a gem like hardness. This one is the latter example, it has gotten harder with age and taken on a lovely, pale blue green color (slightly lighter than the pictures). It was probably reset into this ring in the 60s, and the shape of the ring was designed around the stone. No hallmarks, as was customary before 1980.

The ring face is1 3/8" (35mm) high and 1 1/8" (29mm) wide. It weighs 12.5 grams, tested sterling. Ring size is a 6 (52mm), and could easily be resized by a jeweler.

Excellent condition. Has plenty of age patina, some gunk has been cleaned with a soft brush. Stone is secure without chips or cracks.

Was $68. DISCOUNTS! Contact me BEFORE PURCHASING if you are interested in a discount of up to 10% for payment by US personal check or postal money order.. No discounts once purchase is made!
