My sister lost a ton of oak trees in a storm. I grabbed a few branches from her kindling pile and made these buttons!!! Each one was sanded multiple times by hand and finished by using 220 grit sandpaper. I soaked them in hot mineral oil so the finish penetrates through. I finished them off by buffing them with beeswax. Final button has a silky feel. I would hand wash the garment / item that button will be on. You can always wipe on some plain mineral oil to bring back finish / luster.

*I broke off all of the loose bark when I made this. I can't guarantee that some won't break off in the future.

Due to the nature of.......well NATURE, the growth rings and details on each piece may vary slightly.
