This very old gem was produced prior to 1875 , which is when the company changed its name from Worcester Royal, to Royal Worcester, and added a crown to its inked back stamp.
It was made for Richard Briggs of Boston , a high end shop that sold porcelain.
For its age it is in very good vintage condition . The majority of the pattern in the center is raised just a bit, there is some fading to the ferns. Tiny glaze chip to the gold at the very bottom, and a darker mark on the pink. I haven't tried to clean the mark. The glaze on the back is thicker in some places than others, not chipped.. this was done in production.. all is glazed however.
There are few of these left , and the ones Ive seen in this condition have been priced much higher. I want to see this in a good home. Please, Don't put wire hangers on antique plates or any plates of any value, they can crack or chip your treasure.
This plate measures 9 inches. This plate will be shipped priority , insured ,sorry, I do not feel it is wise to combine this with another order, must be shipped alone.
Any overcharge in shipping is always refunded. Thanks so much for stopping. Please browse my other vintage items.
