How do I order fabric by the metre (or yard) from RudaMama Fabrics?

Each unit in our listings equals 50 cm (approximately 20 inches / just over half a yard) of length. To order 1 metre (~1 yard + 3 inches), add 2 units to your cart. For 2 metres (~2¼ yards), add 4 units. The fabric always arrives as one continuous piece — never cut into separate sections. Width varies by fabric type, typically between 145 cm and 167 cm (approximately 57"–65").

Width depends on the fabric type and ranges from 145 cm to 167 cm (approximately 57" to 65" / 1.6 to 1.8 yards wide). The exact width for each fabric is listed in the individual product description. Width cannot be customised — it is fixed per fabric type.

Yes. RudaMama Fabrics offers a custom fabric printing service where you can upload any design to be printed on your chosen fabric type. Simply place your order on Etsy, then send your file via WeTransfer to info@rudamama.com with your order number. We'll send a digital proof for your approval before printing begins.

We accept JPEG or TIFF files. The minimum resolution is 150 DPI at the actual print size. The fabric is approximately 157 cm (62") wide, so for a 50 cm (20") length, your file should be at least 9,252 × 2,953 pixels. We'll check your file and let you know if any adjustments are needed.

Quantity 1 = 0.5 Metre (approx. 0.54 Yard)
Quantity 2 = 1 Metre (approx. 1.09 Yards)

(All orders are cut from the roll and sent as one continuous piece).

🇺🇸 Note for US Buyers: Think of 1 Metre as a Yard + 3 inches. It is very similar in size to a Yard, but you get slightly more fabric!

Returns are NOT accepted unless the item is faulty. We strongly recommend ordering a sample if you need to color-match.

All our fabrics are printed to order — just for you! Production takes 2–4 weeks, after which your order ships straight away. Please keep this in mind if you have a deadline, and feel free to message us before ordering!

📐 How much should I order?
Our fabric is cut to order and sold in 50 cm (19.7") increments. The width of the roll is always 157 cm (61") and cannot be changed. Multiple units will be sent as one continuous piece.

• 1 unit = 50 cm long × 157 cm wide (19.7" × 61" / approx. 0.55 yards)
• 2 units = 1 meter long × 157 cm wide (39.4" × 61" / approx. 1.1 yards)
• 4 units = 2 meters long × 157 cm wide (78.7" × 61" / approx. 2.2 yards)

✂️ Can I order a continuous piece?
Yes — simply increase the quantity and your fabric will arrive as one continuous length. For example, ordering 4 units gives you 2 metres in a single piece.

🔄 Can I cancel or return my order?
As every piece is printed specially for you, we can only accept cancellations within 48 hours of ordering. We are unable to accept returns on custom-printed fabric unless there is a fault with the print. If you have any concerns, please message us and we'll do our best to help!
