This altered shadow box features mixed media found objects in a 12" by 12" wooden box. The paper dolls of Edward Gorey are placed in a Victorian atmosphere of vintage charm and a "slightly sinister" nature. Titled, "A Slightly Sinister Alphabet", by Beat Gallery artist Susan Spencer, the box is protected from dust with an acrylic cover. The free standing 'paper dolls' add an unusual depth to the collaged backgrounds and it can stand on it's own, or hang on the wall. A unique piece of assemblaged art with a macabre twist for collectors.
