Each WaterStone Wren house is handcrafted in the USA from 100% natural materials. My primary objective is to use as many found, recycled and sustainable materials as possible in creating each birdhouse. They are unique, one of-a-kind items, with no two pieces being identical. Stones used were collected from the shores of Lake Erie or its tributaries Certain models may also contain moss, washed gravel, beach glass, recycled glass or recycled hardware. Any moss used is a long fibered sphagnum moss which is harvested from central Wisconsin bogs and is a totally renewable resource. Each Wren house has been treated with Spar Varnish to make it totally weatherproof and it can be left outdoors all year long. Remove the two screws on either side of the hammered copper roof for easy clean out if necessary. The birds will often remove their old nests in the spring upon returning to original breeding grounds, only to put it back together using the same twigs and sticks. Wrens are one of the smallest songbirds in North America and have a distinctive loud energetic song.

This is a totally functional birdhouse and is sized and vented for Wrens or Chickadees. Birdhouse dimensions are 4 ½ x 5 ½ x 7”. A wire hanger is included with each for easy hanging on a branch or hook. Enjoy your Wren house outdoors or as a decorative indoor piece. They also make unique housewarming gifts.
