Our high quality, triple-drum carder comes fully assembled and is handcrafted of solid hardwoods, quality parts.
This is a fine and affordable choice for blending all fibers, wool and exotics ....... It makes a batt size of 18x36 inches.
A linseed oil bath provides a lovely, lifetime, durable finish.
The overall size is 24 by 20 inches including pull-out fiber tray for cleaning, and weighs approximately 28 lbs. (54 lbs. packed). The swift and licker are 18 inches wide and run on maintenance-free sealed ball bearings. All pulleys and axles have been designed for ease of turning and smooth operation with a 4.90 to 1 drive ratio. It is currently offered with standard 90/120 tpi cloth (3” dia.) on the licker-in, and 120 tpi cloth (12” dia) on the swift, with electric variable speed motor, forward/reverse, with "NON SLIP" timing belt Drive, (no grease! yes, the chain drive is HISTORY ! !, no cleaning ! ,is that cool ! ) More pics and information coming available at http://www.southerncomfortproducts.com/
