I've had the great good fortune to live and teach overseas twice in my career. On each adventure, I traveled and experienced parts of the world that were previously items on my things-to-do-before-I-die list. I've begun sorting through boxes and boxes of memories, and find that I can bear to part with some of the collection of post cards I've gathered throughout my life.

The journal features a post card, purchased on site, more than twenty years ago. I wonder if that makes it vintage... nah... This image is of the well-known French cafe, Aux Deux Magots. This cafe once had a reputation as a center for the literary, intellectual, and artistic elite of Paris. Sitting at a sidewalk table, watching the parade of Parisians and tourists, and sipping a very strong coffee became a favorite pastime on each of our visits.

Specs: The journal is generously filled with 100 blank pages. The 20 lb., acid-free, smooth-finish paper is cut to 5 1/2 X 7 1/2 inches. The cover is slightly larger. Sturdily bound with o-wires, the post card journal is gently distressed and aged. Both the back and the front are covered with patterned paper. The journal is adorned with beads, ribbon and a charm.
