A nice little rustic style vintage salt pig.

This is a really pratical salt store for any kitchen countertop. A handy way to keep salt ready to add to your cooking. The aperture is just big enough to grab a pinch or to take a dip of a measuring spoon.

This piece looks to date to the 1970's and is typical of British studio and mass produced pottery of that era. Best described as earthenware, it is made from a terracotta coloured clay with a milky gray matt glaze and labelled SALT in low relief letters.

A nice feature of this piece is the finial at the top which makes it super portable.

Measures 5" high by 3" wide nd will hold roughly 5.5 oz. or 150gm of salt and is in excellent condition. Definitely worth its salt!
