Traditionally worn by tradesmen, happi coat have become better associated with matsuri (festivals) these days. However, they are also worn in the traditional way in shops or restaurants. This item is an under-shirt worn under happi.

This one is antique, Taisho/Meji era: early 1900s. The condition is excellent.

It is made up of various scraps of cotton. It is quite soft and light.

This may have been a woman's shirt. Size is approximately small / medium. Please check the measurements.
