This beautiful leather-bound limited edition of The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling, was published by The Franklin Library in 1978 and is one of the books in The World’s Best-Loved Books collection. Tom Jones was written by Henry Fielding and was first published in 1749.

This high-quality book has 22 karat gold lettering and stampings on the spine and covers, silk moire end papers, gold-gilded page ends, and an attached silk page marker. The color of the leather is a beautiful cranberry red. This book measures 9.5 inches high, 6.5 inches wide, and 2 inches thick. It contains 892 pages with several lovely illustrations by Jerry Pinckney. (Zoom for larger views.)

Excellent condition. It appears to have never been read. A wonderful gift for the collector of fine books.
