Southern Night Tomatoes are a rare, traditional Russian heirloom that is named for the pitch black nights in the southern territories. 3- 6’ tall potato leaf plants produce flattened, 3 1/2” fruits. The maroon coloured fruits with green shoulders will become darker as the temperatures rise. Nice sweet taste with a touch of acidity.

Extremely limited quantities for 2014.

Sow ¼ " deep, 1" apart. Transplant to 24" apart. Plants require staking. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Harden off young plants for 10 days. Transplant outdoors to moist soil or direct sow after last frost. Water deeply for healthy roots & large harvests. Sun to full sun.

84 days to maturity.
