All I can say about this merino is WOW! Ultrafine at 15.5 micron and 3" staple length, this is the finest wool I have ever laid my hands on. Nuno felters are coveting this fiber because of the magnificent drape. This top is wide when laid out, making it so much easier to dye.

The merino is imported from Australia, about the only place in the world that can produce this fine of fiber, and is limited in production. It is not optim, but comes by this micron naturally. It is also not Sharlea. Both this fiber and Sharlea are produced by the Saxon breed of merino, with the Sharlea having different husbandry practices, and is generally of an even finer micron, and extremely rare.

Yes, obtaining this fiber is rather expensive, but I am sure you won't be disappointed. Because of the price I am making seperate listings for 2 ozs, 4 ozs, and 8 ozs. If you would like a pound price, please feel free to contact me.
