Description

This Raven or Crow ring is cast in solid sterling silver, with inlaid black onyx eyes. This ring is fairly large - I would even say BODACIOUS! It's quite a statement, and is equally popular with both men and women.

From the tip of his beak to the back of his head, the Raven is about 43 mm long (1-3/4 inches). It's hollowed out under the head, so it's not too heavy, but it's quite a substantial piece. It can easily be worn on the ring finger of either hand, but y'know what looks cool? Wear it on a middle finger - or index finger - or even your thumb!

A lot of people NAME their rings! If you do, I'd love to hear what it is! Size your finger, as if buying a smaller ring - the hollow under the head allows your finger to expand, so you don't need to order a larger size than usual. I can make one for you in just about any size. Available: 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13, plus half sizes. Larger or smaller sizes can also be made, for just a bit more - contact me for a special reserved listing on those.

How to size your finger for a Raven Ring:

First, I would suggest going to a professional jeweler to have your finger sized properly. They have the finger sizers (basically, a cluster of different sized rings) that you can try on to determine the correct size.

There are basically 2 types of finger sizers out there: One for narrow-shanked (normal) rings, like wedding rings and such, and one for wide-shanked rings, like bands , etc. They make them that way, because wide bands compress more of the finger, and you might need a larger size for a wide band than a normal ring.

For a Raven ring, you want the NORMAL (narrow-shanked) finger sizer. Even though it's a large ring, the shank at the bottom is still narrow, AND the space underneath the head is hollowed out - which lets your finger expand up into the ring, so it's more comfortable!

To determine your proper size using a finger sizer, try on the size that seems to fit well: it should be a little difficult to get over your knuckle (most knuckles are bigger than the finger itself), but once it's on your finger, it should not feel too tight. You don't want it to cut off your circulation!

Once you have it on your finger, PUSH UP on the bottom of the ring ... you should be able to push it up far enough to see a space on the top between the ring and the top of your finger. If it's too tight to make that space appear by pushing up on the bottom of the ring, try the next biggest half-size.

Likewise, if the space is huge, and the ring is loose on your finger, go for a smaller half-size. You can almost always get it over the knuckle by using a tiny dab of hand lotion or soap to make it slippery. Also, since the Raven is hollow up under the head, it gives your knuckle room to get through it more easily.

If the size doesn't seem right, just send it back to me - I'll resize it to your specifications for free! All it will cost you is the postage to & from me. With shipping and insurance, it runs right about $10 each way. If you're in Albuquerque, just bring by my studio to save shipping.

Even though I might have made it sound complicated, it's very easy! Most jewelers will assist you in getting the right size. All in all, it's a very comfortable ring when sized correctly, even though it's BODACIOUS!

(Please contact me to let me know your check is in the mail if you want me to hold it for a couple days for you - otherwise, I might sell it via PayPal or Direct Checkout to someone else!).

Please note: Checks, money orders, and even Cashier's checks are routinely forged by people intending to deceive; thus, I must wait until your payment clears the bank before I ship your item! This might mean a substantial delay. PayPal or the Direct Checkout option is much faster!

Please include shipping & handling charges outlined below with your payment.

Shipping policies

Shipping:

Worldwide shipping from my studio in the great Southwest of the USA.

If the item you order is already in stock, it will be shipped within 1 -- 3 business days of the payment being cleared. If I need to make one to order in your size, please give me 2 to 3 weeks after payment has cleared to make it for you and get it in the mail.

Orders are shipped via Etsy' NEW Calculated Shipping, where you can choose the type of shipping you prefer. These prices through Etsy are MUCH lower than the Retail Postal rates I could offer before! Best for international orders is the International Package service, which tracks your order. Insurance will be paid by me on high-value packages (no cost to you!). For most purposes, tracking will suffice. You can also choose to upgrade your shipping at checkout, for Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express at a higher cost.

If you would like expedited service, please let me know - I will do everything possible to get your item to you faster, and update your invoice to reflect those charges for Overnight or whatever.

International orders are shipped the best way on a case-by-case basis. All customs forms are filled out accurately and completely, so please be aware of your country's customs and tariff laws before you order. I don't want to go awry of any international rules and regulations regarding shipping!

Additional policies

Payment plans and Layaway:

Payment plans are best handled by the Banks and credit card companies, but I can sure work with you on a layaway plan, if you like. Just send what you can, when you can for made to order stuff - I will process your order when you have paid it off. Just let me know how much you want to pay, and I will send a PayPal invoice via email when you're ready.

For one of a kind items, I prefer letting the credit card companies handle your financial needs - I'm just not equipped like they are to lend money.

Custom Orders:

Anything I make can be made for you in your size ... but true custom orders for designs I haven't made before will have to wait until I have time to tackle them. That might not be for a very long time, I'm afraid! I have so many ideas of my own that I want to make first. Much better to find something I've already made! If you can't find something there, tell me of your passion - if it excites me, I may come up with something everyone will like!
