RESERVED An ocean of tears! Unusual and unique! One of a series of paintings by Emil G. Bethke 1960 artistically interpreting the world of opthalmology, courtesy Alcon Laboratories, Incorporated. Lacus Lacrimalus is the whimsical story of tears with the striking anatomical design of the delicately sculptured bony orbit and its globe as background.

Narrow black wood frame edged in gold. The back is covered and ready to hang. Nicely wired. It is stamped on reverse with, This picture framed by S&W Art Shop Hickory, N.C.
