Wool SleepSack

Sleepsacks are great for babies, they allow mobility, while providing warmth on cool winter nights! This sleepsack also doubles as a diaper cover allowing the baby to have less bulk and more mobility. Simply put your baby into their normal night time diaper minus the diaper cover and they will stay dry, warm and happily sleeping.

There is a drawstring with an elastic band at the bottom of the sleepsack to make it easy to get to their diaper or if they have longer legs, you could leave it open. Would make an adorable baby shower gift!

It should fit about newborn-3 months.
19 in. tall,
11.5 in. diameter unstretched head opening, 16 in. stretched,
9 in. diameter arm openings,
16.5 in. diameter waist, (where blue meets gray)
22 in. diameter bottom uncinched.

Sleepsack comes lanolized and ready for your babe!

Discover the amazing properties of wool! Truly the most natural way to cloth diaper your baby!

Wool has the ability to regulate body temperature. The coil-shaped fibers of wool naturally wick excess moisture and heat from your skin, creating an optimal temperature zone. This makes wool perfect for a hot summer's day or a chilly winter night.

Wool can absorb 30% of its weight in liquid without feeling wet. This means that even when your baby has a wet diaper, your wool cover will still feel dry to the touch. Not unless your diaper is particularly soaked will you need to change her wool cover. And because it dries quickly, you can air out your wool for a short time and reuse it.

Wool is naturally antibacterial, so it doesn't hold in odors and does not need to be washed after each use.

Washing is super easy, only needed every 2-3 weeks or when soiled. Many strictly use Eucalan since it contains lanolin, but for max waterproofing a good lanolin wash is recommended.

A great website with a step by step tutorial on washing and lanolizing your wool cover: http://www.littlefornow.com/how-to-lanolize-a-wool-diaper-cover.html

Each wool fabric differs in thickness, elasticity, or tightness of the stitch. I find lambswool that is as soft as cashmere and others that is scratchy like suit coats. Same goes for Merino or fabric labeled simply 100% wool. I pass up any wool that I feel would be too scratchy for delicate baby skin regardless of its label. I also sew according to each individual fabric. I put in an extra layer when needed and use only one layer when it obviously doesn't need another.

All seams are serged. This is ideal when sewing knitted wool fabrics as a standard stitch on regular sewing machine will easily unravel with wear. I also typically double serge to insure a nice tight hold.

All my soakers are made in a smoke free, kitty friendly home.

I will ship your soaker within 48 hrs. I ship First Class USPS and will send a complementary tracking code to addresses in the USA. I use verified paypal addresses only, so please make sure your paypal address is correct.
