These two ceramic bisque turtles have tons of detail and will look great however they are finished!

These turtles were slipcast using a low-fire earthenware clay, cleaned and fired to Cone 04 (approximately 1940 degrees). This is the optimal firing temperature for bisque that will be glazed and re-fired.

There are many other options that you have to finish these turtles. They can be painted with acrylic paints, oil paints, thermo heat-set paints such as Pebeo paints, permanent markers and more.

Both turtles measure 2 3/8" long by 1 3/4" wide. They are freestanding but not so tall that they couldn't be made into fantastic magnets!

Great for mosaics and mixed media too!

Frequently asked questions about CalicoSkiesMosaics

~GROUT: Grout must always be sealed. This is especially important if the grout is used for areas that will come into contact with water or foot traffic. I recommend Aquamix. This product can be purchased at Lowes or Home Depot.
~CERAMIC BISQUE: Clean your ceramic bisque before applying stains, paint or glazes. You can do this by wiping the bisque with a clean damp sponge.
