I have added a vintage bronze Irish penny to a silver plated bezel edged coin holder. This comes with a silver plated 24 inch chain.

The Irish Penny is universally considered as lucky and is often carried by the groom during the wedding ceremony. Now obsolete and a collector's item, it has not been minted since 1968. It features the 16 string Irish harp, which has been used on Irish coins since first issued by Henry VIII in 1534. The reverse side has a hen and chicks, as well as the Gaelic word Pingin. Animals were used on Irish coins to symbolize the rural character of the country.

Imported directly from Ireland, the bronze coin is made up of 95.5% copper, 3% tin and 1.5% zinc. It is approximately 30mm in diameter and weighs 9.5 grams. You will receive a penny similar to one pictured from 1968 or earlier.
