Vintage exercise book by 1950s Chicago radio and TV personality Paul Fogarty.

Beginning with his introduction, "A Word to the Wide", the author launches into 53 exercises illustrated with black and white photos and line drawings. Written in a breezy, humorous style he probably used on television. An early example of the physical fitness genre.

Signed large in blue ink by the author with dramatic flourish, and inscribed "Happy days to Marie" (we think it reads Marie - flourish comes at the expense of readability)

Published by A.S. Barnes & Co., 1955, fifth printing, 87 pages.
Hardbound 7 1/2" X 5 1/4" with dust jacket, both in very good condition. Dust jacket age-toned inside with a repaired tear at the bottom of the spine. Book is clean, white and tight.
