In the 1960s McCoy pottery produced this adorable and functional jingle dish pet vitamin set with a bell ringer in the lid for Uphohn Unipet (or maybe it was for Upjon and the item was called the Unipet). I read somewhere that vitamins were sold in the container and that when the vitamins were used up the dish would then become a food bowl for ones cat. The jingle lid alerts little kitty hen treats are being served. Very Buckingham Palace if you ask me.

The colors are curry/mustard and off white. The ceramic is heavy weight and of a durable quality

5-1/2" tall X 5-1/2" diameter

the bowl has a slight imperfection with a hairline crack under the glaze. This is not a crack but a line that is totally sealed and will not absorb water or staining. I think these things were produced in mass quantities and since the end use was as a cat food bowl the high standards of McCoy's pottery ateliers was not enforced. There are also 2 lid glaze splatters on the bowl--not sure how that happened but they are tiny and not a big deal. They are the exact color of the lid. Apart from those 2 blemishes which I feel are completely satisfactory in terms of deeming it an excellent condition item, it is clean and ready to be used.

this would make an amazing gift for a cat lover, or you could use it for just about anything in the bathroom--cotton balls, bail clippers, etc. Convo me with any questions, and thanks for stopping by my shop.

About me: On the whole I’m an easy to approach seller, and if you love something but can’t afford it and wish I would discount it for you I probably will. That said, I do frown on low ball offers for items that are clearly well-priced, so don’t go there--my pricing is, I find, super cheap in comparison to like items in other shops. I shop carefully and select each item I plan to sell, and take great care in how each item compliments other items in my shop. I only list things I feel are of a high quality. There’s no junk here. And if there are dresses that I know are cool but need work or have some damage I will dutifully detail that in the listing. I come across amazing Chanel and Dior dresses that often have damage, moth holes, or need work, and I know there is someone out there with a mending kit and some moxie that wants them. That said, most of what I like to sell is in ready to go condition.

Shipping: I can ship worldwide (though not everywhere) so convo me for inquiries about countries not listed. As a rule I try to ship Priority Mail when possible to insure that shipments arrive safely and have some sort of trafficking number. I can ship any way you like, though. For international shipments I can send via USPS International First Class depending on the weight of the package, and that is usually a less expensive route. When I am in town I generally ship same day as purchase or within 2 or 3 days. If I am out of town for extended periods of time I put my shop on hold, so if it’s up online I’m probably in town.

See my other Etsy shop where I sell cool and unusual gift items and accessories for men, including vintage bar ware and glass ware, vintage sunglasses and cool and unique eye wear, vintage designer clothing and preppy mens ties, art and fashion books and hot rod and vintage sports magazines, and quality mid century home accessories--all things I feel might make great gifts for the guys in your life:
